Combining the advantages of lightweight construction with the superior strength and durability of galvanised steel, Super-Cor® is the most internationally accepted and widely used corrugation profile on the market. The larger annular corrugations of Super-Cor® (381mm pitch and 140mm depth) provide nine times the stiffness of a conventional structural plate.
Ideal for medium-sized bridge construction applications Super-Cor® combines the advantages of lightweight construction with the superior strength and durability of deep-corrugated galvanised steel to create buried arch bridge spans that can reach 25m.
Super-Cor® is also the sensible economic choice for vehicle underpasses, bridges, railway underpasses, box culverts, underground storage, stream enclosures/crossings, fauna underpasses and mine portals.
Buried arch bridges, tunnels and other structures made from Super-Cor® carry loads through soil-structure interaction, meaning the bridge and the backfill soils act together to support the loads. Settlement tolerances for buried arch bridges are much higher than that of buried concrete bridges, allowing for lower foundation costs.
Note: CSP’s Super-Cor® is not a stocked item. A lead time for manufacture can be provided following the design and consultation process.
