Nu-Guard® PVB® is a joint pedestrian and vehicle barrier that was developed for use by SCRIT for the Christchurch rebuild. Derived from the proven highway guardrail system Nu-Guard ® 31, this barrier system provides protection for all road users for local authority roads where the posted speed limit is below 70kph.

FEATURES
- Vehicle crash retainment together with both pedestrian and cycle protection
- Uses standard NUCOR® ground driven steel posts which enable faster installation (using post rammer) and with steel, longer post life
- Uses the composite plastic NUCOR® Blockouts which are easy to install and durable
- Can be retrofitted to existing Nu-Guard® 31 installations providing the posted speed limit is 70kph
- Quick and easy to install using standard industry equipment
- Can be manufactured to accommodate horizontal and vertical curves
- Can be placed closer to walls allowing for increased shoulder, footpath or road width usage
- No requirement for the posts to be installed in concrete foundations removing the need for costly bolt down options
- Can be used with the Anchorbloc™ retaining wall system with no adverse effect to the vehicle impact performance of the barrier

- System has a very low yield upon impact, making Nu-Guard® PVB® ideal for above retaining walls/structures where forces applied are important
