A word from Neil - May 2024
Intertraffic update
As mentioned in our news item on Intertraffic, Mike Beattie, our barrier specialist and I, attended the show with a 10m sample section of our very own Wire Rope Safety Barrier - Sentryline-M. We spent four days absorbing everything at this massive industry show. The exhibition was a lot busier than when I attended two years ago, so it was great to see the energy and enthusiasm of people from this industry return after a few difficult years.
This year - new government roading projects announced
We are very happy to see the Government re-establish the RoNS (Roads of National Significance) program around New Zealand. It is imperative that our industry has a long-term pipeline of major roading projects, to ensure we are able to retain skilled barrier installers and attract new blood into the sector.
A new TL-3 Aesthetic Barrier System is on its way and more...
We are proud of the two highlighted projects using the Margaritelli Aesthetic barrier system – don’t they look stunning! We managed to spend some time at Intertraffic with the team from Margaritelli and they were keen to show us videos of the recent TL-3 MASH testing their Ranger Guardrail System had passed. Once they complete the Terminal End testing later this year, we will be able to offer a fully MASH TL-3 Aesthetic Barrier System. This shows great progress from a manufacturer who is committed to ongoing product development.
Towards the end of last year and throughout this year we have been busy supplying the Multi-Function Poles (MFP) for the Central Rail Link (CRL) street works in the centre of Auckland. It’s an exciting, major project for Auckland. Watch this space for an article on our involvement in this project.
As we head into the cooler months stay warm and safe – especially on our roads.
